Describes the color model of the encoded source samples, independently of the decoded PixelFormat.

Grayscale | 1 | Grayscale samples without alpha. |
GrayscaleAlpha | 2 | Grayscale samples with an alpha channel. |
Rgb | 3 | Red, green and blue samples without alpha. |
Rgba | 4 | Red, green, blue and alpha samples. |
Indexed | 5 | Palette indexes (PNG color type 3, GIF, palette-color TIFF). Palette entries may carry transparency. |
YCbCr | 6 | Luma/chroma samples (JPEG and TIFF YCbCr). |
Cmyk | 7 | Cyan, magenta, yellow and black ink samples (four-component JPEG, separated TIFF). |
Ycck | 8 | Cyan, magenta and yellow coded as luma/chroma samples, with black ink samples (four-component JPEG with the Adobe YCCK transform). |
